Celebrating the NBA All-Star Weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina, CLOT has teamed up with heritage sporting apparel company Mitchell & Ness on a capsule apparel collection featuring two sets of knitted jerseys, shorts, and cardigans. Starring in the campaign are Edison Chen, Elle Hu and Nana Ouyang.  

Inspired by CLOT Creative Director Edison Chen’s childhood as an avid basketball and NBA fan, the collection draws from watching the iconic rivalry between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics, and specifically, between Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

“We grew up on Boston vs. Los Angeles. It’s the roots of where our basketball heritage came from, so this was the inspiration for the teams and player behind this collection... It's everything before Michael Jordan... Photographs and videotapes of Boston vs. LA games are the key inspiration."

The collection comprises of two teams - one paying homage to the LA Lakers and the other to the Boston Celtics. Each contains a jersey, basketball shorts, and a cardigan all constructed of jacquard knit. The LA Lakers pack features the team’s iconic yellow and purple colors, while the jersey is adorned with Magic Johnson’s name and the cardigan Cedric Ceballos’. The Celtics pack pays homage to Larry Bird with his name adorned on the back.

“Jerseys have always been worn as fashion accessories, but every time it’s been delivered, it’s with technical fabric, so this was our own unique approach to it. I’ve recently been working with and learning the technique behind knitwear, so it was interesting to work with Mitchell & Ness on this jacquard knit."

The collaboration will be available at all JUICE locations and online at JUICESTORE.COM starting February 15, coinciding with All-Star Weekend.

There will be a pop-up at JUICE Los Angeles from the 15-17 as well as a pop-up in Charlotte during the festivities at 1824 Statesville Ave Charlotte, NC, 28206.
